Covid-19 policies Dixie Cove Student Housing

Dixie Cove Apartments understands that residents and parents may have concerns about how Dixie Cove Apartments is addressing issues associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.

We will follow the current recommendations from  the CDC, state and local guidelines.

Social Distancing- Dixie Cove Apartments covid-19 policies follow current CDC guidelines for social distancing in our community. This will be in line with State and Local guidance. These guidelines may change throughout the school year. We will base our covid-19 policies as per CDC, State and Local requirements.
Signage-Dixie Cove Apartments has signs posted in the community with current health guidelines. We ask that all residents and guests of residents comply with these guidelines.
Cleaning– High-touch points, such as doorknobs, remotes, countertops could be a infection source. Therefore, these items will be sanitized daily by staff.  In addition, we will have cleaning solution available for the students to clean the tables and countertops in the kitchen area. Hand sanitizer will be available in the common areas and kitchens.
Resident with Illness-If a resident is ill they should remain in their room,. They should contact their local health provider.  If management is made aware of a confirmed exposure, we will make sure  measures are taken to limit exposure to other residents and staff. These measures will be consistent with CDC and local health officials guidance. In the event of an outbreak in the community residents and parents will be notified. Notification of residents will be in accordance with privacy guidelines.
Roommates-— If a resident has a sick roommate, they should contact their healthcare provider immediately, and follow CDC-recommended cleanliness and social distancing guidelines.
Service Requests– We will consider any service requests with regard for the safety of maintenance employees and residents alike. To limit exposure, we may need to defer nonessential maintenance, resulting in only handling emergency or urgent issues.
Lease Agreement– — Dixie Cove Apartments has the contractual lease obligation to house students for the entire term of the lease. Students always have the freedom to physically occupy their apartments as they choose. For example, residents often to go home for extended times such as winter break, spring break and, in many cases, for the entire summer term.  University closures do not influence the obligation of the lease term.
